About Us

Evidence-based addiction treatment center offering personalized care, flexible outpatient programs, and steady guidance in the heart of Columbus. We meet you where you are and walk with you toward lasting recovery.

Your loved one isn’t beyond help—just in need of substance abuse and mental health care. Struggling with alcohol or drug abuse or addiction is not a sign that someone is broken. However, it can mean they need professional help and care to get back on track. While it’s not always easy to talk to your loved one about addiction issues, it is always a good idea to help them seek professional help immediately. Addiction treatment should be discussed before they experience unwanted health consequences due to their substance use disorder (SUD) and other related problems. Long-term addiction can lead to severe consequences like depression, heart disease, and even death.

At Ray of Hope, a behavioral health treatment center in Hilliard, Ohio, our team of caring and compassionate professionals understands how complicated it is to overcome addiction. It’s a severe health issue that affects not only those struggling with it but also their families and loved ones. Don’t wait until your relationship with your loved one struggling with addiction has been damaged beyond repair. Instead, call 380.400.4673 to speak with someone from our team about Ray of Hope’s rehab programs and services. Get the professional help you and your loved one need today.

Connection For Addiction Recovery In Ohio

As Intake Coordinator at Ray of Hope, Danise is the first welcoming face clients meet when they walk through our doors. With a genuine smile, kind words, and uplifting encouragement, she helps clients feel comfortable, confident, and cared for from the very beginning of their journey.

What Danise values most about Ray of Hope is the family-like atmosphere. “Ray of Hope was built on the foundation of family, and those morals are woven into everything we do. We don’t allow anyone to just give up—we work with clients to make sure they receive the best care possible and are prepared for the real world. Here, staff aren’t just observers—we join groups, stay involved, and make everyone feel welcomed.”

For Danise, this work is more than a career—it’s a calling. Having lost a sister to addiction, she brings both empathy and personal insight to the role. “Helping others gives me purpose and makes each day meaningful. My sister simply needed a little more love, care, and compassion, and I carry that with me in the way I serve others today.”

Outside of work, Danise finds joy in spending time with her four children, who bring her endless happiness and inspire her every day.

John Fitzsimmons is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDCII) at Ray of Hope Behavioral Health, where he provides evening group counseling for our IOP program. “Since March 2021, I was inspired by a counselor in treatment who said I needed to help others in order to help myself.”

Inspired by a counselor during his own treatment, John believes deeply in the power of helping others as a way to help oneself. He is passionate about encouraging clients to take control of their own recovery, showing them how making positive changes can bring lasting benefits. John’s personal experience fuels his commitment to helping others avoid the mistakes he’s made in the past.

John’s advice to anyone considering treatment at Ray of Hope is simple: “Give ROH an honest try and just a little time for the miracle to happen.”

Outside of his work at Ray of Hope, John prioritizes self-care through activities that keep him grounded, such as working out, volunteering, riding his motorcycle, hiking, and spending quality time with his loved ones.
